Florence Griffith-Joyner, was the star athlete at the 1988 Summer Olympic. She won 3 Gold Medals and 1 Silver. Florence became the first American woman to win 4 medals during one Olympic games. She was named the U.S. Olympic Committee Sportswoman of the Year.
